well congradulations on your new designs, i’m a surfer like your friend get up and go down the line and probably not qualified to comment on your new boards, but what you are describing is what us slalom water skiers have been using since the eighties, the concave underside really can make a good skier much better, they hold better in the turns and accelarate with less effort, i’m sure it will work well with surfing too can’t wait to purchase one …mike

Does your new stable surf system work. Does it hamper board performance in any way? Has the system been thoroughly tested by expert surfers? Is there any sacrifice in speed. I am not interested in beginning surfing but I am interested in high performance surfing.

I am very impressed with your new web design. Congratulations on an outstanding marketing/board quiver set-up. Still need reviews from known surfers or logon film clips of all boards in action. The idea is “If they look good, we can look good”. This is a closer, “done deal” for beginner as well as experienced surfers. Please dont show “fish” surfboards at Sunset Beach, Hawaii. They would spin-out on take-off at Sunset.

Dennis- Yes S3 works, and no, it makes the board perform better than most boards I’ve been on. It has been thoroughly tested by people of all skill levels. Try it for yourself… I promise you’ll like it.

epoxy question -
are your boards as strong and as tough as Surftech’s?
Luc on Mon, 2nd Feb 2009 6:13 pm
Good question Tom-
The Surftec Tuflite will be stronger than our epoxy but the major drawback to Surftec is that they are really stiff. This makes surfing them feel kind of like surfing a coffee table. If you’re buying an epoxy strictly for the strength, Surftec is strong, but, if you want a board that is strong and performs really well, give us a shot. Plus you don’t have to send a fortune. Cheers.

You guys have any demo days? S3 looks great and sounds good. It would be nice to try one and hear some comments on people who have actually ridden the boards. I’m heading back to Ecuador and need a 10′ to take with me. I am a little leery of being a guinea pig though. So how do we try them?
Cheers,
Chuck
Luc on Tue, 17th Feb 2009 11:52 am
We don’t do any demos unfortunately. The only reason we don’t is it’s an insurance issue.
Here’s a comment that Brian left on one of my other blog posts about the Ultimate -
“I bought a 9′0″ when it was a prototype and I can honestly say it is the best board I’ve ever riden hands down. It makes sweeping turns, carves like the best, handles late take off like a fish, catches almost anything and is damn forgiving. I am stoked!”
I can assure you that you’ll like it. In fact, I guarantee it.

hey look me up on face book and add me look under Jody Blackwell.
Luc on Sat, 8th Aug 2009 11:59 am
Pirate,
Our 10 is $495 but it’s a 2+1 fin setup. So you can surf it as a single if you want. If you want us to do a custom single for you then it would be $595. Shipping to you in TX is going to be about $150. Let us know how we can help you out.

How are they packaged for shipping? The different shipping companies I’ve dealt with here in Florida seem to handle things a little less carefully than I’m used to back home. I’d hate to buy a new board and have it damaged in transit.
Luc on Thu, 12th Nov 2009 1:08 pm
They are triple wrapped in bubble, lined with cardboard down the rails, foam blocks and more cardboard on the nose and the tail, if a bag is ordered they are then put in the bags, and then put in a double thick shipping box.
Everything is then shipped insured in case anything does happen in transit.
Overall we have had good success with this process. We don’t ship 100% damage free but we don’t deal with many issues.
